House update 7/4/08

Edric and I went to the house on Friday and it was locked up but we could see the bottom floor through the windows. The tile has been put down but not grouted. The recessed lighting is all in and the light switches and electrical outlets are put in also. We didn't see the upstairs but we are assuming that the tiling is done in the bathrooms and laundry room upstairs also. Oh and the grass in the front yard is also in.  We really cannot tell you how excited we are.  Our current kitchen is bursting at the seams and we are so looking forward to space and air conditioning and a laundry area where you can open the garage door and have the dryer open also. (The Laudry room is upstairs)  This could not be a more perfect house for us!

Cabinets, Cabinets, and more Cabinets....

I took my friend Leslie to the house and the have install all the cabinetry!! It looks amazing! The trim is starting to be painted on the outside of the house and the landscaping is starting to go in. We are in charge of landscaping our back yard but the front it done by the builder.

The house is coming along nicely now.... the garage door is up, the stone is up, the fence is done, the rails on the steps are going up and the molding around the floor, and going up the steps is done.  The doors are all up and they will be painting the interior on Monday and accenting the exterior.

We went to the house tonight after my cake class and they put all the doors up in the rooms and closets, and all the rods and shelves up in the closets and pantry. The Mantel is up on the fireplace. The fence is going up in the back yard. The interior is primed and the outside is painted. The driveway and front walkway are also done. I am not sure why this will take until August to finish when they seem to be moving so fast!  I think at the rate they are going it should be done in July but that is just my opinion.

Stucco and Texturing!! Slowly but Surely

Edric and I were able to go to the house today and they have stuccoed the exterior and and textured the interior walls. All the drywall is up and seamed and finished. The house is really starting to take shape and it is really easy to see where everything will go.

Front of the House, they are going to pave the driveway on Wednesday.  

They also textured the garage so it will be finished and painted to.

This is the guest bathroom it is not much now, but I am sure once 

they start painting they will install the sink, toilet and mirror

We can now bathe at the house

Edric and I stopped by the house on Wednesday and the tubs and showers are installed and the drywall is placed in all the rooms ready to go up. The roof is completed also. We should have our frame walk very soon, I think they are reorganizing a little since the passing away of our original sales person Scott.
